As an author on Twitter for the past three years (@vstentacle, @hyperjapan, @junkdnafiction), I've watched the writing community here grow. Recently the #vss and #microficiton hashtags have produced some sparkling gems. Thus I would like to get together with other writers and put together a ebook project: The #VSS Anthology. The idea is simple: participants may submit up to ten (10) very short stories (140 characters max), mailed to me at moped.ronin@gmail.com. INCLUDE: Your pen name (the name you would like the work published under), your Twitter ID, the email address you wish to have the final PDF copy emailed to, and your work (the stories). Please understand that there is the possibility that NOT ALL SUBMISSIONS will be published. Please check ALL story lengths before you send, as I will not accept anything over 140 characters. Not even 141. DO NOT include the #vss tag. Check your SPELLING before submitting please. Please SINGLE SPACE the stories themselves, but DOUBLE SPACE between each story. Older work already published on Twitter accepted. As this will be considered an adult publication, any subject (with the exception of obvious subjects such as 'hate' et al) will be accepted. Once finished, 200 (more or less depending on how many great submissions I get) of the best work will be published in PDF form and distributed AS A FREE EBOOK via a variety of online venues. By sending me your work, you are authorizing me to print/reprint in multiple formats. You are free to publish it elsewhere simultaneously or otherwise (as long as the other publisher agrees as well). ALL LANGUAGES ACCEPTED, but publication will be based on whether or not they can be read by the editor(s). So, if possible, include a (at least rough) English translation. If you are looking to help out and you speak/read a language OTHER than English, then please contact me at the GMail address and let me know you can help out, even if you aren't submitting.
