It is an adoption scandal which the Belgium authorities try to cover up by focusing on not really important issues, like the use of [tpurl=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Babylift]military planes for such actions[/tpurl]. The case remains, that the child is taken under false conditions to be adopted by Mrs. Schelfhout. She in the meanwhile, is trying to get around the international rules for adoption and the regulations which exist for members of the Hague Convention which Belgium does undersign.
