Hi Chris, I sent the script you wrote for the python code to the author of googsystray  he did not seem to want to include it in his program.  I am trying to work it out myself and recompuile it.  having a few difficulties but will work it out.  Anyway thought you might be interested in his comment about your script.

I'm pretty sure you can't tag such an exception onto the GPL.  Right-to-modify
is the heart of the GPL.
